Ubisoft has delayed the extreme action sports simulator Riders Republic for the third time, pushing it out of its September 2 launch. Developed by Ubisoft Annecy, Riders Republic invites players to an exhilarating social playground, where they can experience the thrill of outdoor sports in an open and densely populated world. The trailer comes as the game kicks off its closed beta, announced a few weeks ago. From today until August 25, those who have signed up for the beta can get a sample of the game right now. Riders Republic Suffers Another Delay To October 28. Crucially equipment can only be unlocked through playing the game, so there won’t be any pay-to-win for stat boosts here. Gear meanwhile will have its own unique performance statistics and a visual appearances to fit your playstyle. There’s also going to be a few items only available via Republic Coins, which will be a hard currency in the game. The shop will be restocked with all-new items and collections on a regular basis. These can be spent in the in-game shop for items from a Collection of items. From October 21 at 12:00AM PT to October 27 at 12:00AM PT, you can shred through four hours of free play on Xbox One, Xbox Series XS, PS5, PS4, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC. While playing, you’ll also earn a currency known as Bucks. If you missed out on the Riders Republic beta or just can’t wait to play more, you’ll be able to try the game for free during a worldwide Time-Limited Trial Week. This will include items from real world sponsors, such as specific bikes and other gear from weekly challenges. The developers promise you’ll be able to earn the vast majority of these cosmetics by playing the game. Riders Republic will make the most of next-gen gameplay, displaying more than 50 players on-screen simultaneously along with 4K ultra high definition resolution at 60 frames per second on Xbox. You’ll then get to choose from a range of clothing items that you can mix and match from different outfits. You’ll be able to customise your appearance from the off, and can go back and edit at any time.
